Job Description

    As a Lead Frontend Software Engineer at CRE Digital team of Commercial Bank BU at JPMorgan Chase, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile feature team building core micro frontend frameworks and foundational components for application development teams. You will lead, own and drive building platform level frontend capabilities to help ship new products and solutions faster at scale for Commercial Bank. Job responsibilities
    • Write high-quality code that is performant, reusable, and secure while adhering to industry best practices
    • Participate in the architecture, design, development, and quality release of all software development artifacts using Agile methodologies and best practices such as Scrum
    • Implement high-quality code and provide valuable feedback and code review to others
    • Collaborate effectively with the product team and other technology teams to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas
    • Conduct backlog grooming, story-mapping, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives for the Scrum teams within the product domain
    • Refine, estimate, and decompose user stories into technical implementation tasks in close collaboration with the individual contributors
    • Identify complex situations that may need dedicated discussion; following through with concrete meeting artifacts representing the discoveries and decisions
    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
    • Expert-level React, JavaScript/Typescript knowledge, with demonstrated complex implementations a must, e.g., custom API s, optimization techniques, Microfrontends, and design patterns.
    • Knowledge and understanding of a modern React stack (hooks, functional components)
    • Experience with npm/yarn, Webpack 5, Babel, unpkg, Styled Components, CSS, Material UI, code splitting and building modular applications
    • Strong leadership, mentoring skills with clear communication and documentation capabilities
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient technical solutions.
    • Experience with Micro Frontends using Module Federation support in Webpack
    • Experience in working with AWS services, especially deploying applications to AWS.
    • Jest Unit testing experience
    Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
    • Good knowledge of Unit/integration/e2e testing with continuous deployment (CI/CD)
    • Working experience with building GraphQL API and GraphQL client like Relay or Apollo.
