    Engineer / Lead Engineer for SW and Functions - Automated driving / LiDAR / AD Sensors Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking Functional Engineers / Lead Engineers with a strong technical background in the areas of Automated Driving (AD) & Product development for AD Sensors. Under the umbrella term Intelligent Drive , Mercedes-Benz is systematically pursuing this strategy with numerous new assistance systems, greatly enhanced functions and innovative protective systems. LIDAR enables the Driver Assistance System in collision warning & mitigation, lane recognition, traffic sign recognition, object recognition for avoiding or mitigating crash. Mainly for L2++ and L3 automation. 2021 Mercedes S-Class Self Driving Demo - New S Class DRIVE PILOT - YouTube As a software developer /Function owner , you will deploy function in the automotive environment with complete ownership To do this, you analyse the requirements and coordinate them with the Supplier/System team During implementation you observe functional safety according to the usual standards In an international mixed team you develop the software according to the company standards You will Conduct system and vehicle tests for functional validation supplier co-ordination and taking ownership of the topic Masters/ Bachelor s degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics/Computer Science 5-8 years of experience in Embedded Product development and/or Automotive domain Automotive System Engineering and Development experience Minimum 4+ hands on experience on embedded software development Experience in Product development life cycle Software development from research to series development Experience in one of the following areas Lidar /Radar/Camera systems , Park Assistant systems, ADAS systems Know-How : CAN, CAN-FD (CAN tools), Flexray, Ethernet , Linux systems Programing languages : C++, Python, Cuda, Basic knowledge on German language is preferred Vehicle driving skills is mandatory ,
