Job Description

Linux Adminstrator This requirement is valid till 26-12-2020Required Skills: LinuxLocation: BangaloreDomain: IT & ITESQualification: Any Degree Experience: 2-3 yrs.Job Description with Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Working on Installation, Configuration Management, Maintenance and Systems Development of AIX Systems.
  • Configured IBM P-series 822, X3550 & X 3650 machines for production and test environments
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance and integrity of a distributed, networked AIX based environment
  • Performing Migration and/or Preservation Installations and upgrades from AIX 5.3 to AIX 6.1and AIX 7.1.
  • Knowledge on installation of VIO servers, VIO clients, setup of network and disks in virtual environment.
  • Implements and managing resources in VIO server for client LPARs.
  • Host based Migration, Performed Disk mirroring, backup and restore for better data availability and Disaster Recovery.
  • Perform periodic file system tuning and monitoring jobs to enhance system/complex performance.
  • Design, build, install and configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers workstations
  • Create and administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems to implement on the existing network.
  • Troubleshoot and Trouble Analysis of system issues
  • Determine issues and resolutions for Systems and Servers installed.
  • Extensive experience creating LPAR DLPAR using HMC.
  • High availability setup for two different clusters.
  • The task includes the following steps as to ensure all DBA/Apps accounts exist with unique IDs on both production and failover servers.
  • Migrating users home directory and applications file system to SAN disk for failover.
  • Good experience on Logical Volume management like, creating/monitoring Volume Groups, File Systems etc.
  • Extensively involved in Backup Restores.
  • System Performance, Monitoring and Tuning
  • Responsible for installation, upgrade, and Migration for AIX 5.3/6.1/7.1.
