Job Category: EngineeringPrimary Location: Bangalore, KA INOther Locations:Job Type: Experienced HireMemory Debug EngineerJob DescriptionConducts or participates in multidisciplinary work in the testing, debug and utilization of information processing hardware and/or firmware, memory modules and/or peripheral equipment. Prepares specifications, tests components and systems, debugs issues, and analyzes test reports. Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and assesses projects to analyze risk. Develops procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems Initiates, guides, and contributes to overall design and development of new ideas and products. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement. Main responsibility is to debug the memory products issues using customer issued sightings and feedback through various customer forums. Participate in weekly debug review forums and update status to the debug leads. Run debug task force meetings with technical cross domain stakeholders depending on the issue to ensure timely issue resolution. Work closely with customers to understand their concerns and collect necessary technical data to reproduce the issues for efficient debug. Document reports for the issues resolved and present to various internal forums and customers. Share learnings across sites and organizations for overall improvement. Influence architecture and tools team for improved debug hooks and tools.QualificationsA Bachelors degree and/or a Master s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum of 3 to 12 years of hardware and software development and debug experience, validation or technical support, working experience in server/workstation product design, preferably in the following areas: Design experience or working knowledge of Intel Architecture systems, chip sets, and/or processors System level Platform and H/W debug experience is needed. Experience in system level boot flow, BIOS knowledge and OS boot process. Experience in HW, firmware and Platform SW working and debugging and issues fixing. Knowledge of DDRx memory, PCI-Express*, Smbus interface Experience with debug techniques and tools i.e.: ITP, Python, CScripts, ASSET and IEVTS Experience with power/thermal utilities Intel hardware knowledge and debugging experience. Knowledge of Intel Optane memory, DDRx and Memory peripherals experience. Knowledge of servers, its configuration and H/W peripherals of Servers and Memory.
