Monitoring Software DeveloperJLL/Technologies Centre of Expertise (JLLT CoE) (Bangalore)What this job involves:About the role#JLLTechAmbitionsJones Lang LaSalle, an international commercial real estate firm is looking for a talented Monitoring Software Developer to be part of a small DevOps team. The developer will be reporting to the GNOC Service Delivery manager as part of the team completing configuration changes to the infrastructure monitoring portfolio which include Paessler PRTG Network and CISCO ThousandEyes application platforms. Development tasks vary, from integration, dashboard development, testing, releasing to deployment and infrastructure management. The team delivers short development projects to internal customers, in close alignment with business objectives. The developer will also be responsible for helping maintain the health of the production environment, ensuring the systems remain healthy. The ideal candidate must have some exposure to the concepts of Event management (ideally within a technology led function ability), and have the to create and run reports using a blend of Project Management tooling and the Office 365 suite of applications

• Project Planning - Participate in the processes of strategic project-planning meetings. Provide guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact and costs vs. benefits, create and share operational requirements and development forecasts to allow for timely and accurate planning of projects.
• Development - Developing and building IT solutions, install and configure solutions, implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of test data, develop interface stubs and simulators and perform script maintenance and updates.
• Deployment Build automated deployments through the use of configuration management technology. Deploy new modules and upgrades and complete fixes within the production environment.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting - Routine application maintenance. Help create requirements and procedures for implementing routine maintenance. Troubleshooting existing information systems for errors and resolving those errors.
• Performance Management - Give recommendations for enhancing performance via gap analysis, identifying the most practical alternative solutions and assisting with modifications.
• Responsibilities may vary within the range of tasks and activities described, with specific objectives being set, documented, and reviewed by the GNOC Service Delivery Manager
• To assist in the production of monitoring documentation, and corporate reports

Sounds like you To apply you need to be:Experience & Education

• Masters/Bachelor s degree in Information & Computer Science, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science.
• Minimum 5 years proven experience and success in application administration, SQL and MySQL as well as a working understanding of code and script such as Selenium, Java, Python etc.
• Previous exposure to project management lifecycle

• Be able to logically look at monitored estate and suggest improvements.
• Must want to drive efficiencies within the automated process
• Will look to reduce, false positives alerting
• Be able to own a task to ensure successful hand off to another customer team or 3rd party
• Work as part of a team to identify service improvements to process and procedure.
• Proactively identify, own and escalate any issue or problem that could affect customer experience
• Software development experience essential
• Exposure to the following applications would be beneficial:

• ThousandEyes

• Some experience with Project Management tools.
