Job Description

    • Provide MQ administrations support to multiple applications on different platforms in CIO Hybrid Cloud Domain. Should be capable to collaborate with the current Infrastructure & middleware team.

    • Your Role & Responsibilities:
    • Modify/re-design configuration/applications to resolve identified issues.
    • Manage, configure and monitor MQ Listeners, Command Servers, Channel initiators, Trigger Monitors, MQ Log files & Dead Letter Queues
    • Setup of IBM Websphere MQ in a cluster environment for both load balancing and Failover.
    • IBM Websphere MQ best practices for setup/monitoring as well as usage.
    • Provide impact analysis of newer versions and provide upgrade paths and plan and upgrade servers with the appropriate versions and patches of IBM Websphere MQ
    • Setup security on the Websphere MQ servers as well as the queues and applications that access Websphere MQ.
    • Must be proficient in the writing/editing of UNIX shell scripts.
    • Must be able to work/provide off-hours on-call support as a member of a rotational support team.
    Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    • 4+ years experience as an WebSphere MQ Server Administration
    • IBM HTTP Server Administration
    • MQ admin should have basic understanding of messaging env
    • MQ installation and configuration.
    • MQ upgrades
    • Understanding of MQ objects (ex. Queue manager, Queues, channels, etc)Should have basic OS admin skills (based on what OS MQ is installed on)
    • Understanding of the softwares used along with MQ (for ex. WAS, IHS etc)
    • Other relevant Infrastructure Support experience Linux/AIX/Windows
