If you have this type of passion, we invite you to take a look at the opportunities available to come join our team.Senior DevOps EngineerTHE ROLE:Machine Learning Software Engineering (MLSE) DevOps team is responsible for the platform that delivers Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Delivery of ROCm, a software stack that enables machine learning/ deep learning applications to demonstrate GPUs for processing workloads.As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an extensible and scalable platform that provides integration workflows for different packages of the ROCm stack and enables workflows of partners in the ecosystem. As part of this platform, you will be developing pipelines in orchestrator systems, containers/ microservices to enable building and validating ROCm in diverse environments, setting up systems to administer/ supervise the infrastructure.The person:Our ideal candidate will possess skills that make them a domain professional in packaging for Linux ecosystems, integrating DevOps toolchains, and setting up supervising infrastructure. The candidate would be passionate about building robust systems that will stand the test of time and change.Key responsibilities:

• Build and package software for Linux ecosystems
• Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines for integration of software components in diverse environments
• Work with development teams to implement strong branching and code promotion strategies
• Seek, profile existing/ new architectures for improvements
• Deliver ecosystems for automated test executions
• Build technical documentation/ user guides for implemented solutions
• Mentor junior team members in coding, designing, and reviewing implementations
• Provide estimates and costing for different development tasks and once committed, stick to schedules.

Preferred experience:

• Strong expertise in at least one of Linux packaging ecosystems - specifically, Debian, RPM, APT, YUM in one or more Linux distributions Ubuntu, CentOS, SUSE Linux
• Strong expertise in Git
• Strong expertise in managing at least one of these ecosystems: Gerrit or Github or Github Enterprise
• Strong expertise in all of these build automation/ orchestration frameworks: Jenkins and Ansible
• Strong expertise in all of DevOps toolchains: Python, Groovy, Bash, CMake, GNU Make
• Strong expertise in all container frameworks: Docker, Docker compose, Docker Swarm
• Practical exposure to at least one of the test automation frameworks: Google Test, Python Unittest, Junit, Nunit, Robot framework
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals - DHCP, DNS, PXE, VLANs, Virtualization networking
• Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, analysis of bottleneck problems
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, Salt Stack is a definite plus.
• Exposure to Virtualization technologies QEMU, KVM, or Virtual-Box is a definite plus
• Exposure to LXC/ LXD or Singularity is a definite plus.
• Active participation in open source projects is a definite plus

Academic credentials:

• Bachelors/ Masters in Software Engineering/ Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering preferred.
