Job Description

    Role and Responsibilities Following the Enterprise Incident Management (EIM) process, resolve routine incidents related to areas of expertise to ensure Service Level Agreements and targets are met within established resolution timeframes. Troubleshoot Incidents through review of applications and system logs. Research solutions in knowledge repositories, product documentation and industry sources. Lead Level 2 support, Infrastructure Support during new or complex incidents or when application changes are required. Lead/execute disaster recovery steps as required to restore application services to reduce impact to client during disaster scenarios. As required, troubleshooting failures and unexpected situations during failover. For high impact and recurring incidents in which they were involved, participate in the identification of root cause and development of key steps to minimize impact or permanently remediate these incidents based on enterprise problem management processes. Contribute to the development of action items for inclusion in the problem management plan. Record probable root cause if known or discovered during incident investigations. Perform maintenance tasks to ensure healthy system performance related to applications to ensure healthy system performance and reduce/mitigate/prevent future incidents as required. Complete daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks and standard operating procedures based on published checklist. Resolve operational problems within the defined schedules and service level agreements. Maintain System Efficiency Analyze root causes of operational malfunctions and provide resolutions. Handle escalated issues and follow-up on outstanding issues promptly. Develop preventive measures and document issue resolution procedures. Manage job calendars and flows to ensure timely completion. Recommend process improvements to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Evaluate current operational processes and recommend improvements. Monitor system operations and troubleshoot problems. Assist in budget preparation and resource allocation for support services. Install, support and maintain network and system tools. Manage job scheduling tool and monitor repair activities. Maintain daily logs of operational issues and maintenance activities. Contribute to business meetings and report on issue status. Develop support plan to prioritize and resolve multiple issues. Address customer issues promptly and accurately.Skills: Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library). Knowledge of formal problem-solving methodologies. Understanding of infrastructure components (Virtualization, Operating Systems, networks, storage); Understanding of Systems and Software; Basic Programming and Scripting knowledge; Understanding of relational databases; Knowledge of scripting languages (Python etc.) Experience in VMware, Active directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Network Administration, Firewall, Backup and Disaster recovery, LAN, WAN, VPN and DNS preferred Experience with Middleware technologies(Weblogic, tomcat etc) and MQ technologies(Rabbit Mq) Experience with SQL language (selects, joins, etc.) Familiarity with PCI and SOX compliance preffered Key Skills: Role and Responsibilities Following the Enterprise Incident Management (EIM) process, resolve routine incidents related to areas of expertise to ensure Service Level Agreements and targets are met within established resolution timeframes.
