Job Description

IntroductionAs a Business Sales & Delivery Executive, you will support IBM s consistent growth by bringing to the table your business development, sales, account management, and delivery skills. If you re ready to bring insights and experience in areas such as IoT, Blockchain and digital transformation, we are ready to offer you a best in class career development.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesCandidate must have deep experience in one or more of the following domains: network core, RAN, O-RAN, edge, orchestration, and assurance. Familiarity with relevant industry standards such as 3GPP, ETSI and ORAN is mandatory. Preferably the candidate has been in a business development role selling into network engineering organizations.Responsibilities include business development for the entire IBM network cloud domain portfolio which includes physical hardware (compute, network, storage and radio technology), RedHat technologies, IBMs portfolio of hybrid cloud software, IBM services and eco-system of third party VNF/CNF vendors.Telecom Network Business Development Leader will be expected to:- Support communications service provider account teams in sales pursuits- Collaborate with RedHat, Hybrid Cloud and GTS (newco in future) on developing network cloud solutions for clients- Interface with the Network Cloud offer team to understand IBMs network cloud portfolio of services- Collaborate with other CoC team members in sales pursuits and knowledge sharingThe individual must be aware of industry trends within network engineering community. What technologies are being developed or launched What new vendors are appearing in the market What is the value proposition of the new vendors IBM is establishing a footprint in the network domain of communications service providers. The combination of our RedHat asset and the trend towards virtualization/containerization of the telecommunications network play into IBMs strengths as a leading systems integrator and manager of IT technologies.Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 12 years of Telecommunications Industry experience is 100% mandatory.
  • 7+ years of deep knowledge of one or more network domains including network core, RAN, O-RAN, edge, orchestration, and assurance.
  • 7+ years with relevant industry standards such as 3GPP, ETSI and ORAN
  • 7 + years of experience working for a Network Equipment Provider (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Huawei) or within the network department of a communications service provider
  • 7+ years of experience working with OSS domains such as fault management, performance management, inventory management, order management, trouble ticketing, provisioning, activation and workforce management
  • 7 + years experience of working in the network department of a communications service provider, or relevant experience with a smaller or newer Network Equipment Provider such as Altiostar, Mavenir, Metaswitch, or working in a NOC for a tier 1 communications service provider or with OSS platforms in some related capacity
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 12 years of Industry certifications such as Forum certification in eTOM or ETSI certification in ETSI NFV architecture
  • Background in network engineering
  • Experienced in solutioning of network architectures
  • 10 years of experience working in a NOC for a tier 1 communications service provider
