Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: As a Software Designer, you will demonstrate that a software or software component fulfills its intended use when placed in its intended environment (real or simulated). You will interface with System, project, and Quality teams to meet QCD commitments as per the project needs.Expert level Embedded software system techniques implemented in C/C++ RTOS is an absolute requirement. Development of embedded applications that utilize Greenhills, ColdFire, Intel, and Arm processors on bare metal, Linux and real time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus. Our programs employ a full life cycle software development process that is scaled to the size of the project. The candidate will lead requirements capture, software architecture and design, implementation, and unit test.RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver end to end software deliverables such as software requirements specifications, software design documents, and professional high quality software executables.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and product development teams and cross-functional partners develop, execute, and maintain
• Work closely with Systems Engineers to understand operations and translate them into clear software requirements
• Own and/or participate in technical reviews
• Work with a field support team to diagnose customer issues and quickly resolve issues
• Follow the Quality Management Standards and necessary vital software design standards (Apply processes and standards)
• Keep a strong link with the Sw architect, Hw designer, Reliability and V&V departments, through the whole Sw design cycle
• Contribute to continuous improvement ( Return on Experience, process, )
EDUCATION: B.Tech./ B.E./M.E./M.Tech./M.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, EE, EEE,BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
• Be Innovative and demonstrate to peers and implement in creation of code libraries, reusable codes, and model-based developments, He should be agile and adaptive to Project dynamics
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization.
• Good Team player and have ownership towards assigned task & deliveries
• Rigorous, reliable, analytical and synthetic turn of mind.
• Responsible, Customer orientated
• Good autonomy and perseverance.
• Capable of breaking cultural barriers in order to work efficiently with westerns countries.
• Good mind openness, voluntary to understand and learn more.
• Available for sporadic travels abroad.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:
• 8+ years of experience in Software Development on Windows platform.
• Hands-on experience in C#, .Net Core, Microservices, Java script
• Experienced at converting software requirements and designs into source code
• Knowledge of any configuration management tool and workflow management tool is essential (ex. ClearCase, ClearQuest, Git .)
• Awareness of any one of these SDLC models - SCRUM, V-model
• Knowledge in Railway Signaling Domain is a huge advantage
SOFTWARE SKILLS:
• 5-8 years of experience in design of Software modules in complex embedded systems.
• Strong knowledge Software architecture and refactoring
• The ideal applicant will able to thrive in a highly collaborative workplace and actively engage in the development process spread across different geographical locations.
• Significant experience in delivery of design, analysis, development, testing and delivery.
• Rail industry background is highly desirable, alternatively similar safety critical industries can also be considered
IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) LANGUAGE & SKILLS:
• Proficient in English language
• Good written and Verbal communication skills
