Oracle - L2 (24*7*365)Oracle -L3 (24*7*365)Provide Oracle database administration service as a consultant to the customer The individuals will be expected to be fully-functional DBAs who can perform traditional DBA activities, independently and guide team members too. Able to define process for the customer for better DB mgmt which would result in better availability , security and performance .The individuals will be expected to be fully-functional DBAs who can perform traditional DBA activities, independently and guide team members too. Able to provide escalation support whenever required. On operational perspective, responsibilities include troubleshooting problems, working maintenance windows and providing 24x7 on-call supports on a rotational basis. Installing Oracle Server and Patch MgmtInstalling & Maintaining DB Tools Uninstallation Database Upgrade Database Patch Installation Physical Database Design and Implementation Database Clean up / Removal DB Cloning Start up and shutdown of Database instances Maintaining Database replication / standby / clusters Job scheduling Verify all Instances are running Look for any new alert log entries Verify that SNMP is running Look for Trace files Session MonitoringTransaction monitoring Lock and Latch monitoring Activity / Redo Log monitoring Job monitoring and Purging Job history Replication / Stand by monitoring Object Monitoring Verify free space in table spaces Verify rollback segments Reorganization of DB to remove fragmentation Rebuild of indexes Analyze of objects Purging of DB logs and trace files Verify that Server has enough resources for acceptable performance Periodic Report Generation on Database Health Identify bad growth projections Identify space-bound objects Review contention for CPU, memory, network, and disk resources Generating statistics Look for objects that break rule Ensure that all indexes use an index table space Ensure that all tables have unique primary keys. Verify that the database backup was successful Experience required in Tools configuration such as, RMAN (Database Physical Backup Tool), Expdp/Impdp (Database Logical Backup Tool) & Oracle Enterprise Manager (Monitoring and Tuning Oracle DB) Archive all alert logs to Conduct Backup , restoration drills for backup verification Database Connectivity issue Database incident and error resolution Archiver Process Stuck Database incident and error Vendor Management System Performance Monitoring Expertise in Tools Integration and Management such as, RMAN (Database Physical Backup Tool), Expdp/Impdp (Database Logical Backup Tool) & Oracle Enterprise Manager (Monitoring and Tuning Oracle DB) Adherence to Change Management Process Presales knowledge / experience are added advantage.Implement ITIL processes & Create Transition Management Dockets Root Cause Analysis for DB problems/ Recurring problems and initiate Request for Change
