Schneider Electric is an energy management company and produces products and solutions related to Energy management. Schneider Digital is an IT backbone for Schneider Electric. Digital Engineering, a practice under Schneider Digital provides the Offer creation community of SE with the tools, processes, and applications to enable product creation and management.PDM Data Operations team based out of India under Digital Engineering ensures data is effectively migrated from legacy systems to standard PDM built on PTC Windchill. PDM Data Ops team deals with data from legacy PDM apps, Creo, Solidworks, Unigraphics, Autocad among others and migrates it into PDM using ETL tools like Pentaho. The team uses custom built loaders to load the data into PDM.In this context, Schneider Electric Digital Engineering is looking for a Data Quality Steward, whose mission is to ensure that the technical quality of the Engineering data in the IT platforms in scope is at the appropriate level of quality for the applications and their interfaces to operate as expected, with ideally no interruption of service due to incomplete or inappropriate data.This role is a Full-time Employee Position. The person for this role will report to PDM Data Ops team leader in India. Roles & Responsibilities:
• In strong interaction with the owners of the IT platforms in scope (PDM, ERP, Master Data), specify, design, build and deliver the data analysis queries and reports needed to assess the quality of the data and identify/locate the eventual data quality issues.
• Permanently monitor the data quality and report using the metrics and KPI that are expected by Digital Engineering management. Propose, specify, design and implement new KPI/metrics, or evolutions of the existing KPI/metrics.
• When data quality issues are identified, relevantly alert and mobilize the key actors of the platforms in scope for resolution. Elaborate and propose solutions and action plans. This may require to animate meetings with stakeholders to review and decide corrective actions.
• Provide operational support to data migration projects to analyze and cleanse the legacy data, then prepare it for import into corporate IT platforms.
• Punctually on request, design and run specific and complex data queries to research root cause of specific and urgent data issues; propose fixes and implement after approval.
Technical Skills (Required):
• 3+ years working on relational databases and designing/running complex SQL queries and/or stored procedures; be an expert in manipulating structured data.
• 3+ years operational background on ERP / MRP systems (manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, procurement, warehousing); also having PDM experience is a strong plus.
• Display significant exposure to enterprise IT, with good knowledge of the usual architecture and landscape of IT systems in industrial companies (data models, data flows, interfaces); understand the big picture of enterprise systems.
• Influence and convince: mobilize key actors to find solutions and then resolve data quality issues.
• Display motivation to work in permanent interaction with a network of people and in an international context.
• Good communication skills, ability to speak and understand English with various people from different regions and cultures.
• Ability to handle multiple efforts in parallel.
• Detail-enabled while being able to document and present information to others.
• Proficient in using MS-Excel; at least, comfortable with complex formulas, pivot tables, graphs; ideally, be able to develop VBA macros.
• Experience in topics like data warehousing and proficient with Python, working with Tableau or any other visualization tool
Technical Skills (Good to have):
• Worked in Unix, Linux, Solaris OS environments
• Experience in ETL Tools like Pentaho, Tableau, Custom ETL Tools etc.
• Experience in software development / scripting languages: Java, Javascript, Perl, bash,
• Exposure to Machine learning concepts
