Job Description

18759 Platform Engineer I (Open)Position Type:Full timeLocation(s):IN.Bangalore.Office2Summary:Installs, maintains, and upgrades internal/external computer hardware and software systems to deliver CSG s product offerings. Proposes and implements enhancements to improve the reliability and performance of the system.Position Details:TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • ORACLE DBA with ideally 2- 5 years of experience.
  • Should have managed all versions & editions of Oracle Databases ( 11gR2 till latest version)
  • Managed databases with Unix and Linux environments
  • Performed Database Health Checks
  • Designed and implemented backup & recovery systems
  • Performed DB upgrades and Data guard configurations.
  • Experience in configuring RAC & maintaining the environment.
  • Prior experience in handling Platform Migration Projects.
  • Prior expertise in RMAN Cloning, RMAN/Logical backup & restore activities.
  • Exposure in performance monitoring & tuning.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESInstallations & Configurations (% of Time: 35)
  • Performs installation, configuration, and upgradation to CSG products.
  • Validation of installation and configuration processes and procedures.
  • Active participation with teams involved in delivery (Development & Project Management).
  • Troubleshooting and bug fixing for solutions once in place.
Releases & Promotions (% of Time: 35)
  • Support the development team in releases and promotions (including core upgrades) from development through production, as defined.
  • Validation of release and promotion processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and bug fixing for solutions once in place.
Solution & New Product Evaluation: (% of Time: 10)
  • Assist in the identification and analysis of the internal/external client s technical requirements.
  • Under supervision, provides technical input and consultation for application deployment.
Third Party & Open Source (% of Time: 10)
  • Perform installation, configuration, and update any third party software used in supporting CSG products.
  • Active research and sandbox trials of open source solutions.
  • Execute third party/open source compilation for requisite software.
  • Pull source and monitor version modifications in association with key software.
  • Familiarization of key third party products /open source projects leveraged by CSG solutions.
Communication & Documentation (% of Time: 10)
  • Effectively communicate with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Create and maintain reports on projects and research as assigned.
  • Creates wiki documentation for solution delivery support, and automation efforts.
