Job Description

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Administration and management of PostgreSQL databases
    • Performance tuning and optimization of databases
    • Replication and clustering setup and maintenance
    • Participate & working in restore, patching activities, Backup and recovery of databases
    • & Backup Reporting.
    • Security management, including user management and data encryption.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot database issues.
    • Plan and implement database upgrades and patches.
    • Collaborate with developers and other teams to ensure the proper functioning of databases.
    DESIRED CANDIDATES:
    • PostgreSQL DBA JD for 4 to 5 years of experience
    • Experience with Cloud databases like AWS RDS,Aurora Azure Database for PostgreSQL is a plus
    • Worked on Postgres tools such as PGadmin IV, pgbench, pgbadger, pgupgrade , pgrewind and dblink activitiy
    • Worked on utilities like pgdump, pgdump_all, pgrestore, pgarchivecleanup, pgconfig
    • Good knowledge on Architecture
    • Should understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge base articles
    • Scripting Knowledge Automation skills will be a value add.
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills are desirable.
    • Flexibility work in shifts for 24x7 support
