This is where you can do your best work.Join us at the intersection of saving and sustaining lives where your purpose accelerates our mission.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDrive the Design, development of QT/QML based device software applications and features on embedded Linux for Baxter medical devices.Review and/or analyze and develop architectural requirements at domain level within product portfolio or team.Proven track record of hands-on architecting and developing modern complex UI components for devices.Design and development of medical application and end-end feature development, ensuring platforming and re-usability.Technical risk retirement and performance optimization on embedded platformsGuide and drive the internal/external team members and facilitate on time and quality deliverablesCollaborate with scrum teams and ensure regular program planning and flow it down to PI and Sprint levelsDrive project planning, scope changes and other nonstandard events throughout the life of the projectManage stakeholder communication and progress reportingDemonstrate superior knowledge of software development life cyclesEnsure that releases meet quality standards and functional requirementsWork with fellow team members and provide subject matter expertise to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions during testing cycles as well as during and after the project is deployed in productionManage external vendors on project assignments as requiredEducation QualificationBachelors Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 8 years.Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:Expert in Front-End Framework Architecture and hands-on experience in popular UI Frameworks (e.g. QT/QML, etc.)Strong UX concepts in understanding designs and converting them into coded componentsExperience in guiding and coaching Tech Leads and Developers in latest UI technologies and frameworksAbility to Analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.Experience with complex solution configurations.Reasonable AccommodationsBaxter is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
