*Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience., *Oracle SOA core team which is part of Fusion Middleware team is a key contributor to very strategic Oracle s cloud offering in iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) space - Oracle Integration Cloud. Team is also actively contributing towards Oracle SOA Suite product development, the market leader product in on-premise integration platform area.SOA core team at IDC is also responsible for architecture, design, and enhancement of Oracle SOA suite product which is deployed at thousands of customer sites and is getting elevated to cloud now. Oracle SOA suite excels in easing integration pains of the customers by providing out of the box support for business process orchestration, complex business rules processing or wading through multiple levels of human approvals. The team is involved in entire product development life cycle right from inception of product features to rapid delivery on cloud(via Multi tenancy) and on-premise. From development standpoint we work on numerous technologies such as: Core Java, Core J2EE (EJB, JMS, JMX, JTA), JSON, REST, OAuth, Web Services, Weblogic, to name a few. We use engineering best practices such as JIRA, Hudson for Continuous Integration, Maven for build etc.Job description: Work on SOA suite product for one or more subsystems for design & development of next version of the product including features and enhancements. You will also be responsible for enablement of existing on-premise features on cloud via Oracles iPaas offering - Oracle Integration Cloud. This would require sound understanding of cloud infrastructure and related technologies like REST,JSON etc. As a part of building these features, you will need to interact regularly with various application teams such as Fusion apps, OWSM etc, the lower stack teams like Weblogic server, JDK etc and teams developing the tools like Jdeveloper IDE, Monitoring UI etc. You will be responsible for requirements analysis & architecture definition, designs & prototypes, coding & implementation, bug fixing, product release and post release customer support. Apart from designing & coding the features owned by yourself, you will be expected to technically guide a team of bright developers throughout the product life cycle right from products feature inception to delivery. You are expected to work in a highly agile development environments with high expectations on code quality and continuous delivery requirements. Technical product decision-making will lie with you and you will have to steer those architecture/design decisions amongst varied level of conflicts in a global setting. You will also be responsible for generating technical documentation for the features developed by you and reviewing other s documentation for technical accuracy. You are expected to be very hands on and an excellent team player with good oral and written communication skills. You are expected to be a self driven and goal oriented person.Skills required: Strong Java, XML, J2EE development skills - Must be hands on for designing and coding (essential) Expert in SQL, PL/SQL and SQL tuning Strong OOAD skills (essential) Excellent Debugging skills using Java debugging tools (essential) Web Services/REST skills (essential) Experience in working with Agile/Scrum based development (essential) Application Integration experience (extremely desirable) Excellent team player (essential) Good communication skills to interact with extended team in HQ (essential) B.E./M.Tech in Comp Sc or Electronics or equivalent from a reputed institute Work Experience - 6-12 years
