In addition, the team also works on improving experiences across Microsoft s products and services by working on high value scenarios. The Turing team has shipped capabilities across all of many Microsoft scenarios including AutoSuggest , Microsoft Word s new find feature , quick reply on Outlook , Smart Compose features in Word, image enhancement models, recommendations , as well as many other features across Office, Bing , and Xbox. Additionally, we are working on a few entirely new experiences such as semantic search for enterprise and knowledge management (aka Cortex ) for our SharePoint customers. These new experiences are powered by a large-scale deep learning-based enterprise search and question-answering systems built by the team, which processes billions-to-trillions of data items and serves millions of end users in millisecond latency. We are looking for engineers with a variety of skills and areas of expertise, from backend infrastructure of large-scale system to microservices and to front-end development. • Driving projects from design through implementation, experimentation and finally shipping to our users.
• Building large-scale high-performant distributed system to improve experience across Microsoft products
• Working with big data by training, extending and shipping the capability of deep learning models to provide compelling experiences across our products.
• Working in a diverse geographically distributed team environment where collaboration and innovation are valued. You will have an opportunity for direct impact on design, functionality, security, performance, scalability, manageability, and supportability of Microsoft products that use our deep learning technology.

, Required:

• A Bachelor s degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related technical areas (including mathematics and physics)
• 10+ years of experience coding in C++, C#, C, Java or Python
• 8+ years of industry engineering experience
• 8+ years of commercial systems level software development experience, with one or more of the following: Distributed Systems, Information Retrieval and/or Data Mining, Machine Learning fundamentals.

• Strong ability and effectiveness working end-to-end in a challenging technical problem domain (plan, design, execution, continuous release, and service operation)
• Experience with large scale distributed systems, multithreading and object-oriented programming
• Self-driven, results oriented, high integrity, ability to work collaboratively, solve problems with groups, find win/win solutions and celebrate successes
• Customer/End-result/Metrics driven in design and development.
• Keen ability and motivation to learn, enter new domains, and manage through ambiguity.
