Job Description

Global Procurement Risk and Compliance Manager Buying ServicesProcurement Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for design and implementation of the governance, controls and procedures to mitigate buying risk for Cisco as part of Source to Pay process. This position requires a deep understanding of procurement operations, business challenges, and ability to translate them into solutions. This role will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams e.g. internal risk and compliance team, internal and external auditors, finance, invoicing, tax, category and supplier management to execute global Buying Services strategy, standardize and improve the service and mitigate risk for Cisco.This position reports to the Senior Manager of Buying Services, Global Procurement Services.Responsibilities:Evaluates and performs an end-to-end analysis of the business risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses to determine root cause of current control breaks;Ensures that manual and automatic controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols;Designs and implements the omitted controls to meet company s policies and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements as part of Source to Pay process;Provides leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Quality Assurance Program including identification and remediation of control breaks and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk;Engages with Risk and Control/Quality Assurance teams across the company, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions;Executes the periodic quality controls and accesses audits, reports findings, propose and tracks remediation actions as part of continued improvement;Provide ongoing feedback, training to procurement team and Cisco employees on risk concepts to strengthen the compliance to Global Procurement Policies.Additional Responsibilities and duties:1.Reprioritize work with limited direction and complete additional projects/tasks as assigned 2.Benchmark the current processes, provide recommendations for improvements and standardizationWho Youll Work WithYou will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and multi-functional teams (e.g. Regional buying teams, internal risk and compliance team, internal and external auditors, finance, invoicing, tax, category and supplier management to execute Buying Services strategy and Product (Smart Buy - Ariba) roadmap, enhance and automate the service and controls, and mitigate risk for Cisco.Who you are

  • 8+ years of business experience, preferably in a technology industry
  • 5+ years of proven experience in Source to Pay risk, compliance or audit management
  • Experience in designing and implementing controls to meet policies requirement
  • Bachelor s Degree required with preferred areas of study in business, finance, procurement, supply chain management, or quantitative field
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) Act knowledge
  • Six Sigma/ Continued process improvement experience
  • Past working experience in an Agile environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and solid background in statistics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and effectively engage with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Recommended:
  • Knowledge of and practical experience in Digital Compliance Solutions
  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass and Oracle ERP is a plus
