Job Description

    • The Retained Lending Controller team is seeking to hire highly motivated candidates to join the Merchant Services Product Control based in Bengaluru and work closely with all regional product controllers to conduct month end activities. Roles includes below functions:
    • Perform the month end or quarter close activities
    • Responsible for the income statement and balance sheet analysis.
    • Ensure internal control procures are in place and maintain SOX compliance, driving change and improvement in process in order to improve transparency and efficiency in month-end results.
    • Ensure financial information is in compliance with US & local GAAP and firm s corporate accounting policies, documenting exceptions where appropriate.
    • Identify and accelerate targeted reviews for specific products/process based on both quantitative and qualitative factors and risks.
    • Also assist team to perform monthly close activities including but not limited to review of financial data, investigating significant variances and transactions, fluctuation analysis, preparation of financial reporting deliverable, preparation of estimate accruals, perform reconciliations, general ledger substantiation etc.
    Required Qualification, Skills and Capabilities
    • Qualified accountant preferably with 5-7 years experience within the Financial Services industry with External reporting and controller experience.
    • Excellent communication skills and executive presence including the ability to present complex and sensitive matters to Senior management, Product Managers & Business Managers across levels.
    • Analytical mind-set, structure approach, attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
    • Ability to manage several projects and reporting requirements concurrently
    • Ability to evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls
    • Ability to work in a matrix organization with limited local oversight ensuring timely escalation & resolution of issues
    Preferred Qualification, Skills and Capabilities
    • Proven skills in identifying and resolving control issues that may impact financial results
    • Team player and ability to work closely with global team members and other groups in the organization.
    • Good knowledge of Lending and Trade Finance products & SAP ledger system is preferred
