In this role, you will actively manage multiple, high complexity projects to successful completion from initiation through delivery and closure. To succeed in this role, you ll need to have excellent coordination of cross-functional teams, through meetings and progress measurement activities, which bring distinct, specific projects to completion on time and within budget. You should be an experienced project management professional or a scrum master, with full understanding of industry standard project management practices, as well as Red Hat s policies and procedures, and able to mentor and coach less experienced project managers and engage with associates and leadership at all levels. As a Project Manager, you ll think through new problems and proactively develop plans for issues that are not addressed by established procedures. What you will do
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously to successful completion from initiation through delivery and closure
• Coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activities
• Mentor and coach less experienced project managers and engage with Red Hat associates and leadership at all levels
• Think through new problems and proactively develop plans for issues not addressed by the established procedures
• Ensure compliance with business controls and project management (PMR) controls
• Effectively contribute to Project Management Office (PMO) processes, framework, tools, and goals
• Architech a project plan that meets objectives, within constraints
• Schedule, monitor, and assess progress and quality of tasks so work flows smoothly
• Maintain project control through cost, schedule, scope, and stakeholder monitoring and management
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks through collaborative accountability
• Be responsible for managing stakeholder issues that delivers impactful results

• Experience with office applications and project management tools

• Full understanding of industry standard project management practices
• Ability to map vital and control processes within a project ecosystem
• Advanced documentation development skills; knowledge of how to document and how much is needed to prevent excessive time and energy output
• Excellent understanding of project management tools, techniques and methodology; ability to mentor and coach less experienced project managers
