    Mail ID - hidden_emailJOB Description -Role Title: Purchase Associate IDM&S (Indirect Material & Services)Reports to: IDM&S Purchasing Operations Site ManagerPurpose of the role: Execute operational purchasing of IDM&S to support SKF INDIA LIMITED BANGALORE UNIT. Support the implementation of strategic sourcing results in SKF INDIA LIMITED BANGALORE UNIT and promote the operational efficiency. Work closely with the internal stakeholders and execute local purchasing activities. Your day-to-day work/ Key ResponsibilitiesPerform local purchasing according to defined strategy and frameworks:Review purchase requisitions and identify sources of supply for spot buys.PO conversion in Citrix / Ariba for commodities like Abrasive, Oil & lubs, Toolings, Spares ( Mechanical, electrical, electronic) Miscellaneous and one-time requests.Coordinate with suppliers for one time buying activities for routing purpose. Identifying suppliers for Miscellaneous buying.Study the drawings / specifications received from the engineering and send enquiries to vendors and get the price quotations. Review purchase requisitions and identify sources of supply for spot buysComparative quotes arranging and discussion with supplier for mentioned commodities.Coordinate with finance team to clearing rate difference case.Vendor registration documents collection from supplier for mentioned commodities.Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries of items.Daily interaction with stores for Nil stock items.PO filing. Maintaining Purchase Record room.Interaction with internal stake holder related to specification obsoletion and any description query.Maintenance of Supplier Master File Supplier MSME, payment terms follow up and data collectionEnsure records and documentation as per QMS.Validate completeness and relevance of RFI/RFP,Work in close collaboration with Category team, as well as end usersContinuously track supplier performance We offerA stimulating and challenging job in an international and developing environmentOpportunity to be part of an experienced and open-minded teamGet an in-depth knowledge of best in class Purchasing processes We expect you to haveExcel and ERP system knowledge/ (SAP Ariba) added advantageGood communication and negotiation skills.
