Job Description

    • Designation / Position Purchase Manager
    • Job Description (Minimum 250 characters)* Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs Purchase Manager, primary responsibility incudes developing a network of vendors for our purchased products, and negotiating rates, delivery periods, payment schedules, etc. Analysis of current and prospective vendors - highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each vendor based on their previous performance, handling and consistency. Forecasting of markets to inform management about predicted changes in price of raw materials and commodities. Coordinating with production team to ensure that materials reach factory in a timely manner as per the requirement of production plan. Maintaining minimum stock level for safety items, raw materials and spares to avoid disruption in supply chain. Active assessment of vendors - Evaluating vendors on certain criteria and ranking them based on score. Supervising the Purchase Team and grooming junior purchase executives. Will be required to visit our production units in Gujarat as and when required to coordinate with production and logistics team and resolve supply chain issues/bottlenecks. Coordinating with stores and inventory team to maintain accurate record of current and predicted stock/inventory levels. Ability to source machinery , machinery spares and consumables, as well as ability to source erection and maintenance work agencies would be preferred.
