This is a R&D Engineer role, reporting to R&D Team Manager in Business Area Electrification (EL) located in Bangalore and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology and product development by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions by unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks.Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for configuration management concepts with knowledge on CI/CD, source code branching/merging strategies & introducing quality checks.
  • Responsible for automating the builds, testing, release & packaging process using Jenkins pipeline, groovy scripting, SonarQube, Docker.
  • Working knowledge on LINUX environment with GCC compilers, ssh/ftp protocols, Shell Scripting.
  • Designing and developing CMAKE files for auto builds.
  • Handling virtual machines and knowledge on port, performing estimation and tracking progress.
  • Owning and making sure the continuous integration results drives the sprint and PI outcomes and we can visualize progress.
  • Continuously measuring effectiveness and improving results and quality
  • Living ABB s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
  • Any bachelor of engineering or MCA,MSc.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years work experience in with developing continuous integration systems.
  • Good in C, C++, Python, PowerShell, MSBuild or Jenkins Build.
  • Good in TFS/AZURE, Git, TFS Dashboard /Jenkins Dashboard, automating Reports
  • TFS Build Pipeline/Jenkins Pipeline, Ubuntu Linux.
  • Good in DevOps environment.
  • Understanding of Smoke Test, Integration Testing, Functional Testing Test Automation, Dashboard Creation.
  • Knowledge of queries from TFS/AZURE.
  • Knowledge on database, SQL.
