This is a R&D Solution Architect role, reporting to the R&D Product Manager in the Business Area - Process Automation, located in Bangalore, India. You will join a group of high-achieving engineers to lead and develop cutting edge industrial control applications for the pulp and paper industry. Collaborating with teams in Singapore, Ireland, Sweden, Finland and USA, the breadth of technologies and control strategies employed is broad. We are looking for someone who is technically very strong but also with an interest in leading/managing local and remote teams. Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for design and development of new products as well as maintenance of legacy products, being responsible for conceptualization, design, development, testing and deployment of web and windows applications.
• Understanding the market requirements, developing product requirements, and selecting appropriate technology and, supporting development and testing of the application.
• Providing broad technical software support, training, pilots and consulting services for clients and to carry out the implementation of company software product in pulp and paper industry.
• Working on digital project implementation in pulp and paper industry, working with Project Managers to define scope, features and estimates for new projects.
• Planning of project activities with local and remote teams, working directly on development tasks, providing technical leadership, coordinating with other resources and creating high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets.
• Working with customers to define new opportunities for plant level applications. Being proficient or having the capability of becoming proficient at installing, configuring, developing a workflow process, troubleshooting the software, and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches.
• Apart from project responsibility, providing strategic sales, training, and customer/application support.

• Bachelors or master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent. Should have architected and designed web-based software applications and desktop software applications.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience with designing software architecture and overall software development experience of 12-15 years.
• Must have expertise in Microsoft technologies like C#, .Net, ASP.NET MVC, .Net Core, Web technologies and Azure, architectural tools like Enterprise Architect, database design and interfacing to related applications.
• Exposure to industrial automation domain, particularly OPC-UA/DA and Modbus TCP, building IOT application with REST services.
• Desirable to have architecture related certification like TOGAF. Good experience in designing and development of responsive web apps (SPA) using React, Angular.
• Must have the ability to integrate open source visualization components (maps, graphs, OpenGL widgets, d3 widgets), good knowledge and exposure to DevOps processes (CID/CD).
• Hands on experience on with several of the following technologies: NodeJS application development, SSL mutual authentication, Containerization with Docker (kubernates), Cloud Native application development using micro services architecture, Open ID and OAuth, Designing orchestration solutions for scalable micro services, Message Queue system like RabbitMQ, Stream Analytics tool like Kafka.
