About the RoleAmazon Advertising is looking for a Business Analyst to support its fast- growing business. In this high impact role, you will interface with the business teams, product managers and senior management, to facilitate data driven decisions about our customers, our advertisers, and our business. Specifically, in this role youll create Analytics solutions we use to run our business, interpret them to identify key insights, and define & track key metrics. Youll analyze our product performance, identify new trends and communicate key drivers and recommendations to other leaders in Amazon. You will not only become an expert at using internal data systems, but also develop close working relationships with data platforms teams and data engineers, in order to acquire the best available data and improve data systems. To do this, this person needs to be extremely hands on, have a deep understanding of Amazons display advertising products, technical/operational capabilities, as well as the ability to synthesize analysis into a concise and compelling presentation. You ll need the ability to turn data into insights. This means you should have expertise in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, or statistical packages, and also possess a strong understanding of data collection processes, data management systems and visualization tools. You will also be required to clearly communicate with managers and associates at all levels. This position is based at the Amazon India headquarters in Bangalore.,
    • 3+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis
    • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
    • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
    • Experience with SQL
    • Experience in Excel
    • BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field
    • Advanced working knowledge of data mining using SQL, ETL as well as advanced Excel.
    • Experience with dashboarding on Excel/QuickSight/Tableau
    • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
    • Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases and complete root cause analyses
    • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results
    • Experience with Amazon Redshift databases
    • Experience with statistical analysis on R/Python or a similar language
    • Having worked on large datasets is a plus
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment
    • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and data presentation) and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
