Regional Manager - Fire & Safety For Bangalore - Media Industry - Male

Job Description

1) FIRE SAFETY AUDITS & INSPECTIONS:
• Plan and ensure periodic inspections of all units in Region along with buildings, structures and installations and Carry out audits planned and unscheduled to gauge fire & safety preparedness, identify fire hazards; recommend corrective action; perform follow-up inspections to see that corrective measures are taken.
• Ensure Functional checks of the Fire Detection & Fire Fighting Equipments, Life safety equipment, Evacuation and Rescue active and passive systems for Correct Indication /Serviceability for which, will keep close coordination with Engineering department and Operation Department and Security Team of the Region.
• Coordinate with Regional Engineering and Operation department for rectification action in case of un-serviceability of Fire & Life Safety Systems of the Units.
• Coordinate with Units teams for regular serviceability and maintenance of fire safety and fire fighting equipment, documentation through inspection of fire detection system, protection system and safety equipment for their operational serviceability.
2)FIRE DETECTION EQUIPMENTS:
• During visit carry out functional checks of the Fire Detection Equipments for Correct Indication serviceability in Unit (Beam detector, Smoke Detector, Heat Detector, MCP, Fire Panel, Fire Repeater Panel and Hooters etc.).
• With feedback will see that in region, Fire Detection equipments AMC, Service Notes and their testing record is maintained in the Unit.
• With feedback will see that in region, testing of all possible measures to prevent occurrence of a fire incident in every Unit through proactive checks & precautionary fire safety measures.
3) FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENTS:
• During visit carry out functional checks Fire Fighting Equipments for use and Serviceability of your region. (Water Hose Reel, Nozzle, Sand Bucket, Canvas hose and Sprinkler etc.)
• Will see that in region Emergency Kit Bag, Stretcher, Wheel Chair power full torches and emergency light sand bags is available, & maintain.
• Fire Fighting equipments AMC, Service Notes and their testing record is maintained in the region.
• Functional check of Water Hydrant Pump/Jockey Pump of Hydrant/ Sprinkler Pump & Jockey Pump is in Auto Selection mode, in Unit.
• Will see that in region Checking of Sprinkler and Water Hydrant pump for correct water pressure is maintained.
4) EVACUATION OF FIRE:
• Checking of Audi and Lobby Evacuation plan and signage are displayed at the entrance of the Auditorium and Lobby respectively and a slide is shown before beginning of each Show.
• Will see that in region Fire Fighting Team, Evacuation Team, Rescue team, First Aid Team deployment and Public Announcement System is serviceable / facilitated in Unit, on a weekly basis.
• Will see that in region Fire and Evacuation training is conducted every month and ensure all employees of Co. (including outsourced employees) are trained.
5) SOPs:
• Adhering to SOP at all times.
• Prepare SOPs whenever asked by Head fire Safety on various fire safety related work.
• Suggesting amendment (any new ideas) on SOPs whenever required.
• Guide/ explain / educate Unit staff about SOP if required during Inspection visits.
6) REPORTS:
• Monitoring Units Snags weekly basis & send weekly snag report on every week to concerns and action for the same to be taken.
• Ensure that the units Fire related defects are monitored on day to day basis, and rectification for the same is taken on priority and recorded.
• Units Fire Reports (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly) are checked and analyzed, followed up, and closed.
7) LICENSES/ PERMISSIONS:
• Ensure that all Fire Licenses are renewed on Time, in Unit. Keep in touch with license department of Co.
• Ensure that all NOCs records to be maintained in respective Unit.
• Will present and give technical support whenever required or asked your presence during fire officials visit of Local Fire department/ Govt. Licensing department any particular unit for additional support.
8) TRAINING:
• Monitor that all the staff are trained in monthly fire safety training.
• Checking every unit has prepared ERT and maintains the same as per SOP.
• Will conduct training for managerial staff and unit employees during inspection visits.
9) PROJECTS:
• Ensure that the Fire Safety norms are adhered to in Units right from the project stage, as per Co. SOP.
• Study plan of new projects and guide about fire safety active and passive system if required/ asked by Project dept.
• While new opening of any unit impart training to new appointed staff for fire safety with demonstration in coordination with training & development department.
