Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products typically 7+ years prior to landing on a product roadmap. Plans and executes laboratory research. Maintains substantial knowledge of stateoftheart principles and theories, and contributes to scientific literature and conferences. May participate in development of intellectual property. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts. Typically holds a PhD.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: - PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields of study. - Demonstrated fluency in C/C++ and strong software engineering skills. - Experience in computational photography and video (computer vision, image/video processing applied to computational photography/video). - Proven track record of developing novel computational photography/video algorithms and applications.
