Job Description

    Resource and Portfolio Planner Job Description The Performance & Effectiveness Team is the engine that delivers compelling and robust capabilities, products, and solutions to Kimberly-Clark s Business and Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) by focusing on cost savings and business growth, as well as connecting with partners and customers. The Resource and Portfolio Planner will support functional leaders in the delivery of new capabilities to the business. The Resource and Portfolio Planner will provide oversight, reporting, and issue resolution for a portfolio of functional projects, support the functional leaders in the planning of leadership meetings and other recurring communications forums, and support resource management methodology and best practices for project resources. This role provides broad exposure across the DTS organization to support the delivery of world-class business capabilities.Scope/Categories:Key internal interfaces: Director-level Business program sponsors, Global DTS leadership, Project Sponsors, Program Office, Project Managers/Scrum Masters, Portfolio Coordinators. External Interfaces: Consultants, 3rd party providers, external program/project managers. Role will report to the Digital Portfolio Management leader in the DTS Performance & Effectiveness organization and will have no formal direct reports. Travel may include approximately 5-10% of work time.Key Accountabilities:
    • Perform portfolio management activities in conjunction with Digital Program Office, consolidating and recommending project priorities, and driving projects through the project lifecycle
    • Maintain a dashboard of all the key portfolio activities between the Business and DTS and help keep the status up to date for review with business and DTS leadership
    • Act as liaison / coordination point for the functional portfolio within the organization
    • Develop executive communications on portfolio health and issues
    • Plan, coordinate and facilitate Leadership meetings including establishing operating rhythms, working with support staff on scheduling, setting agendas, ensuring materials are created and consolidated, and driving appropriate follow-up
    • Provide oversight to DTS Portfolio Coordinators throughout the organization on processes, tools and deliverables
    • Assist in driving the Annual Business Plan for technology investments
    • Drive continuous improvement and automation of portfolio processes in collaboration with other teams
    • Manage and administer employee time charging framework and system setup in Clarity
    • Assist in change management activities which impact the Business and IT Organization
    • Perform supply/demand planning with our DTS functions for project resources, including attending quarterly staffing meetings, conducting demand reviews, and developing and maintaining the staffing plan
    • Develop self-service reporting for portfolio stakeholders
    Key Qualifications and Experiences :
    • Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant DTS experience with demonstrated skills in the core competencies
    • Demonstrated success performing portfolio planning activities, preferably in a large, global IT organization
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience communicating effectively at an executive level
    • Ability to prioritize and manage work and trade-offs against critical timelines in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with resource management
    • Strong planning, communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work in a virtual team across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, that may extend outside the K-C organization including suppliers, partners and customers.
    • Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory
    • Experience with Clarity or other PPM platforms
    • Power BI reporting experience
