Job Description

    RFP Specialist is responsible for overseeing the development of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). They will act as a proposal writer to prepare response drafts to match prospect and client requirements and adhere to internal guidelines.
    • Responsible for creating accurate, well-written and properly formatted RFP responses
    • Work with various colleagues and subject matter experts to obtain information needed to respond to RFPs.
    • Coordinates RFP associated activities such as item assignments, calendar reminders, response strategy meetings, executive signatures as appropriate and as needed follow ups/follow through.
    • Ensures the final response package is appropriately formatted and submitted to the customer on time.
    • Develops and updates RFP content for future use.
    • Assists with other Sales Operations tasks where needed for high volume times/overflow support
    An RFP writer makes the RFP for an agency or an organization looking to offer government contracting or a business looking to get the best bid.AN RFP writer creates explicit requests for a proposal that includes vital information an agency or an organization need for proposal writing. The RFP writers job is to create a concise RFP that helps the client decide on the best candidate.RFP proposal writers create the proposition document for a nonprofit or another company that directly responds to the RFP.The proposal lists why the specific company is the best candidate for getting the grant or work.Besides researching, communicating, and writing, writers, have other responsibilities as well.Depending on the niche, you need to have an advanced understanding of a specific industry. You cant expect to write satisfactory propositions and land jobs for defense department bids without at least some expertise.To win the contract, you must dedicate the whole proposal development to the client.
