    Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.BA Hosting is a business unit of Business Applications (BA) business line within Nokia Cloud & Network Services (CNS). It delivers Nokia CNS Business Applications, and associated customized solutions, through hosting and/or SaaS operations. Its services include system and database administration, networking, applications operations, and when required, customer operations (e.g. campaign management, IOT services) and value added services. It delivers its services through a combination of Nokia own datacenters and public cloud. BA Hosting helps its customers maximize the value of BA Applications & Solutions by providing faster time to market, lower total cost of ownership and expertise on BA applications SWs. Today, it serves more than 20 customers, ranging from tier-1 CSPs, web-scale companies, to small-medium size ISPs, utilities and enterprise companies, across NAM, LAT, Europe and APJ. Serving customers in over 100 countries, our research scientists and engineers continue to invent and accelerate new technologies that will increasingly transform the way people and things communicate and connect.The SaaS Application Administrator is part of Nokia Hosted Services team which is tasked with supporting Nokia enterprise-class hosting environment consisting of Weblogic/Tomcat/Apache application servers, Oracle databases, Sun clusters, Hitachi Disk sub-systems, and Cisco network infrastructure, all running in a 24x7x52 environment. This position will perform the planning, deployment and on-going support of new systems & applications as needed. Work with team members to monitor and manage hosted applications and databases and escalate according to established procedures.Successful candidate must have demonstrated success with full life cycle technical and project leadership of the deployment and support of high-availability, high-volume and enterprise-class web application environments. Experience working in a high-tech organization with the skills necessary to maintain agility and to make critical decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience in creating and troubleshooting enterprise services that necessitated the understanding of the complex interactions among applications, databases, server operating systems, internet/network protocols, and client configurations. A keen understanding of application and data security issues surrounding such an environment is also required. A strong problem-solving methodology and the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as external vendors is required. Experience with the implementation of processes, procedures, and results metrics for the purpose of continuous operational improvement and SLA creation and adherence is required. Senior member of a team responsible for day-to-day maintenance of a large application farms of Web/Java applications and Oracle databases Unix/Windows based web & database applications support, multi-location server/application design and operations of the Hosted environment Application software upgrades and migrations Application configuration and management Monitoring applications, databases and other services Staging and testing of new releases, new customers and new applications Contribute to design enhancements of application infrastructure architecture to support business growth Efficient deployment of new applications base installations First line of response to troubleshooting new and existing systems/applications. Reporting the performance levels of the application, databases and Unix systems Work with department managers and internal teams to analyze and resolve problems associated with technical issues in the Hosted environment Ensure company s policies and standards are followed Change control principles Reporting SLA status principles Propose methodologies and best practices for delivering outstanding service. Must be available for 24x7 support in accordance with the needs and defined customer SLA s. The position may require very limited travel within US (although quite unlikely). In addition, some weekends and/or extended hours may be required (very limited)Are you passionate about solving problems As part of our team, you will:Propose and establish proactive monitoring based on insights gleaned from on-call activities, customer feedback, and incidents/outages Participate in event & incident management including service restoral and contributing in Root Cause Analysis Ensure 5-9s SLA Service Assurance First line of response to troubleshooting new and existing systems/applications. Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation schedule to help monitor overall system health Assure accuracy of and actively populate knowledge management contents and documentation to enable smooth on-call activities Plan, manage and ensure successful deployment of products and associated releases Create, organize, and adhere to documentation for processes, procedures and maintenance Develop a keen understanding of application and data security issues surrounding such an environment and ensure security complianceYour skills and experience
    • Demonstrated experience in creating and troubleshooting enterprise services that involve complex interactions among applications, databases, server operating systems, internet/network protocols, and client configurations. Proven track record of deploying high-availability, high-volume and enterprise-class web application environments. At least 8+ years of work experience with a Bachelor s degree or equivalent, Master s degree is a plus 5+ or more years of SaaS operations support Minimum 7 years of experience with Linux OS technologies, scripting language (Perl, Python) shell scripting Experience with containerized technologies (kubernetes, Helm, k8s API), DevOps methodologies Experience with supporting Web/application farm architectures and technologies (Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSpehere, Apache, IIS, SSL, Java & JDBC) Experience with operational support tools for monitoring and logging (Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK Experience with Incident and Event Management (tools, processes, KPIs, regular status reporting, postmortems, RCAs) Good understanding of network (WAN and LAN) routing, TCP, IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, and other related internet protocols Experience with ticketing systems like SF.com, Jira Experience with public cloud environments, especially AWS Self-directed, can interpret and extrapolate requirements and priorities from shared contents or communications Positive can-do attitude along with strong planning, designing and communication skills Capable of working in a diverse, global environment Experience or familiarity with Agile, and devops methodologies, Security concepts and tools
