By focusing on the specific needs of each industry, the Mechanical Power Transmission (MOPT) Division has developed innovative solutions and advanced technologies that improve output, increase uptime, and enhance system value in even the most challenging environments.This is Sales Engineer MOPT, reporting to the Cluster Sales Head in Business Area Motion located in Peenya, Bangalore. You will be responsible for sales as determined by our customers, marketers, designers, manufacturers and service providers of industrial electric motors, generators, and mechanical power transmission products.Your responsibilities

  • Managing sales and marketing operations thereby achieving increased sales/maximizing profit in assigned division.
  • Implementing marketing plans for augmenting the business volume by enhancing brand visibility & recall.
  • Designing and implementing business plans / strategies for maximizing profitability.
  • Identifying prospective clients, generating business from new accounts and developing them to achieve consistent profitability.
  • Building and maintaining healthy business relations with major clientele, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction by achieving delivery & quality norms.
  • Maintaining cordial relations with channel partners to sustain the profitability of the business.
  • Mapping the client s requirements and providing them customized business solutions through new proposals, presentations, etc.
  • Monitoring post service activities like follow up with the customers, service reminders, warranty & post warranty issues and handling customer grievances for superior customer service. Assessing the customer feedback, evaluating areas of improvements & introducing improvements.
  • Developing relationship with key decision makers in target organizations for business development.
  • Living ABB s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
  • B.E/ B. Tech in Mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in metal industry like Mechanical Power Transmission (PT) solution product, mounted bearings, enclosed gearing, couplings, gear motor, pulleys and other PT components.
  • Must have technical skills to include a hand on experience on sales on mounted bearings, enclosed gearing, couplings, pulleys and other PT components.
  • Must have worked in heavy industries like Food & Beverage, Cement, Power, Steel, and Mines.
  • Working experience in MS-Word, Excel, WinZip, Lotus notes, Adobe Photoshop, Internet (Netscape, Explorer, HTML), Auto-CAD.
