Job Description

    • Responsible to drive the Business of Biacore (SPR) hardware and related consumables across India region. Work closely with the commercial teams to meet the annual sales targets and to ensure annual/quarterly growth of Biacore business.
    • Keeping a close watch on market and understanding market dynamics to design and implement strategies for market competency.
    • Pre-sales presentations, demonstrations and discussions of various products of Cytiva, creating a value proposition for Biacore portfolio. Conducting training courses for the internal teams to strengthen the technical competency of the sales team members. Person will also be responsible for successful new product launches and will work closely with the global product team for product life cycle management related activities.
    • Working closely with the marketing team to plan and execute various marketing activities, both tactical and strategic. Understanding the market demand and ensuring increased utility of Biacore systems and consumables. Helping the commercial team to build and maintain a healthy sales funnel by continuous customer engagement with technical and scientific acumen.
    • Understanding the demand-supply trends for Biacore hardware and consumables and provide accurate demand forecasting to internal teams and provide supply forecasting to commercial teams and customers for better planning of purchase and manufacturing of Biacore systems.
    Who you are:
    • Masters degree in biotechnology/Biosciences/Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Molecular Biology with more than 60% marks. PhD in Biotechnology/biochemistry/molecular biology/biology will be preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in handling customers in both academic and industrial accounts. Having knowledge of capex procurement and planning processes in industrial and government sectors.
    • Knowledge of MS office (Word, Power point and Excel) and good communication skills are needed with good product knowledge, application knowledge and market knowledge.
    • Knowledge with regulatory guidelines, pharmacopoeia and ICH guidelines for analytical techniques is needed.
    • Presentation skills and negotiation skills along with good analytical skills are important to take business decisions.
    • Willing to travel (70% of time) and work with various customers on field
