Application and end user services are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database services.The End User Endpoint and Infrastructure Team is committed to delivering enterprise class Windows Desktop and Server builds to the firm. The team is responsible for all aspects of the design, configuration and integration of Windows Desktops and Servers.Job Responsibilities: Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced and ambitious candidate to join their Enterprise Search team. The group is responsible for supporting the Intranet Search and various search requirements for firms different business functions, such as Research, Corporate communication, Enterprise Data Group.The primary focus of this role is to develop and manage applications involved with search system.Maintain and upgrade search indices for large document repositories, as well as optimizing indexing/queries and supporting analytics activities.Leverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions.Work closely with development teams, qa teams, architects, Project manager to design, develop, unit test, debug and maintain IDOL and Luciworks Fusion based search applications.Participate in production deployment and aid application support group when needed.Key ResponsibilitiesImplementation and support of Search solutions using Lucidworks Fusion and/or IDOL.Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis and take appropriate action to remediate issues related to discovery, relevancy & data manning.Participate in the discovery phase of search technology migration projects to determine high level design.Troubleshoot technical and production issues.Collaborate with other technologists as a member of a broad, cross- functional team motivated to solve business problems., Experience 10-12 years Required Skills: 5+ years of IT experience in related field. 2 + years of experience Search systems either vended or open source search engines such as Lucidworks Fusion, Apache Solr, IDOL, Lucene, IBM Watson or Elasticsearch. 2+ years of experience with at least one of the following PERL, Python, Lua, Bash/Shell Experience with Enterprise Git, GitHub, Jenkins, or related development build and deploy tools. Experience working in Agile environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or experience in closely related fieldDesired Skills: Experience with some or all of Apache, JBoss / Tomcat, or other application servers. Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Artifactory Pro, SonarQube, Selenium, Jmeter, and so forth). Understanding or knowledge of Artificial Intelligence principles Exposure to Spark Knowledge of Load testing as well as troubleshooting and production support Experience with very large data sets and high traffic deploymentsMorgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
