About Network InfrastructureThe mission of the Network Infrastructure (NI) Business Group is to be the most trusted partner for the world s most critical network infrastructure. NI will respond to the ever-increasing demand for networks with higher capacity, greater reliability, faster speeds, and lower costs.POSITION DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for a Senior Cloud Software Designer responsible for the architecture, design, and development of a next generation service that we want to bring to market. Your primary focus will be to architect and develop a cloud-based product with a focus on performance, scalability, and usability. Your main duties will include creating modules and components and coupling them together into a functional app. A thorough understanding of all the components of our platform and infrastructure is required.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop high-level design documentation as required for the project.
• Delivering a complete cloud-based microservices application
• Ensuring high performance
• Communicating with external web services
• Work in close partnership with architect, other developers, testers, product line manager, project manager to refine requirements, recommend possible solutions, develop, and test the applications.
• Interact with support team to determine root cause and develop efficient solutions for issues found in the field
• Write and maintain documentation for internal purposes as well as for the customer
• Assist in task planning, estimation, and scheduling
• Interact with the client when necessary

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of professional experience in web design and software development
• Expert in designing and developing Cloud Native, Microservices applications, using Spring Cloud, Containers and Virtualization Technologies like Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Consul, Redis, gRPC and Open Source Integration
• Hands-on experience in software development and processes with strong analytical and debugging skills for web applications, identifying front-end versus back-end issues
• Proficiency with Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5 and modern web application architectures
• Thorough technical understanding of public could systems both VM and container based: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc
• Integration with RESTful APIs and JSON
• Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
• Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
• Proficiency with document database and noSQL database
• Experience with building the infrastructure for serving the front-end app and assets
• Writing extensive unit tests using automated TDD tasks
• Mocking up ideas and presenting them for discussion
• Professional, precise communication skills
• Willing to work in lean and extremely agile environment / start-up work culture to achieve stiff and challenging targets
• Team player with proven ability to work in diverse team environment
• Make it happen attitude, inventive, resourceful and flexible in a fast-paced, challenging and ever changing environment.

PREFERENCE

• Familiarity with Spring Cloud and Bootstrap framework
• Experience with large scale web applications
• Solid understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP protocol, status codes, cookies, headers, asset loading / caching)
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux
• Networking domain experience (MPLS/IP/Ethernet)
• Knowledge of Software Defined Networking & Network Function Virtualization concepts
• Integration and use of Open Source software
