This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within the Caterpillar Electric Power engineering team.The Solutions Electrical Design Department is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of all special products. This includes technical support for operations, processing of engineering changes & projects, investigation & resolution of Solutions quality issues.The successful candidate will report to the Electrical Design and Planning Manager and will carry out engineering functions.Job Responsibilities and Duties:Design and development of Solutions products and components backed up by technical drawings, calculations, instructions and bills of materials to enable the manufacture and assembly of specialist genset enclosures. Providing technical support to production & manufacturing facilities in Northern Ireland and overseas. Providing technical and general guidance to associate engineers as required. Investigating & resolving issues affecting production of Solutions builds. Liaison with other Departments such as marketing, purchasing, validation & quality on the resolution of design specification queries & production issues. Specification and requisition of production materials for manufacture and finished components for assembly. The recording and control of documentation issued for manufacture., *Qualifications and Experience Required:Essential: 3-5 years of experience in Electrical system Engineering with Bachelors (BE/B-tech) or Masters in Electrical engineering. Previous experience of working in a product design/development environment Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings in accordance with recognised standards. Auto CAD-Electrical Experience is mandatorily required. Pro-e/CREO, ePLAN experience preffered Candidate should be capable to communicate and coordinate with global engineers. Should be well versed with Electrical schematics, Layout of control panel, Harness Modelling and detailing. Experience of working with Switch gear design in a previous role.Desirable: CAT Experience will be preferred. Experience in Diesel/Gas Genset, automobile, will be preferred.
