• DevOps Engineers are responsible for ensuring BlueJeans Cloud services highly available, reliable, secure and scalable.
• Develop automation to improve our ability to rapidly deploy, effectively and proactively monitor applications in a large-scale environment.
• Work closely with engineering teams and function well in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment Implementation of proactive monitoring, alerting, trend analysis and self-healing systems
• Participate in on-call rotations, driving restoration and repair of service-impacting issues
• Experience with root cause analysis of critical business and production issues and professional in incident triage & response; effective working under pressure
• Design system support documents and production application service run books where needed
• Contribute to product development / engineering as needed to ensure Quality of Service of Highly Available services Clear understanding of Agile development methodologies, DevOps, SRE best practices, and the product development lifecycle in production
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills that encourage growth for more junior members

What we re looking for.

• A degree
• 3+ years experience in a DevOps role working on a SaaS product running on Private and Public Data centers
• Significant software engineering skills and computer science experience
• Hands on experience in the public cloud, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Strong scripting experience in Python/Bash and good understanding of concepts related to algorithms, data structures and programming practices
• Experience in Linux System Administration
• Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g. DataDog, Icinga, New Relic, Sumo etc)
• Experience in Infrastructure as code using Chef, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts
• Experience with elastically scalable, fault tolerance and other cloud architecture patterns
• Experience with modern cloud development practices (microservices architectures, REST interfaces, etc.)
• Solid communication skills to promote technical solutions with peers and development teams to get feedback and come to consensus.
• Experience using Amazon EC2 and virtualization with Vmware or Docker containers
• Experience with cloud based architecture building blocks such as message queuing, in memory caches, nginx etc
• Automation & Orchestration
• Experience using Consul, Terraform, Chef, NewRelic, Sumo etc
• Experience in Jenkins, Nexus, Bitbucket etc
• Experience MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra or other database expertise
• Experience working in an Agile software delivery environment.
• Bachelor s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or have equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Employ deep troubleshooting and scripting skills to improve the availability, capacity, and security of BlueJeans Cloud Services.

Even better if you have.

• Experience with functional or imperative programming languages -- e.g., Python, Ruby, Go, C, or Java.
• Knowledge of H.323, SIP and any other buzzworthy technology in video / voice conferencing.
• Previous experience mentoring and/or leading a team
• A strong dedication to code quality, automation and operational excellence
• AWS and CKA certification.
