The focus areas include customer, stores and associates, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science and search & personalization.Job OverviewAs a Senior Engineering Manager, you ll play a pivotal role in: building a passionate team and a meaningful product that will fundamentally change the way people interact with e-commerce apps. You will be responsible for growing the team; working closely with our engineering, design and product teams to deliver on our vision for the future and helping evolve our industry-changing app.You will:

  • Manage and grow a team of experienced and passionate engineers (Node, React, iOS & Android)
  • Build new, exciting functionality into an app designed to provide real value to customers
  • Lead and participate in technical, design, and product discussions with leaders across the organization and company
  • Build a world-class team by hiring exceptional talent, coaching and developing engineers, cultivating pragmatic engineering decision-making, and leveraging your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar
Your Qualifications:
  • An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in any stream Computer Science preferred.
  • 10-14 years of relevant experience with the following skills
  • Experience managing and mentoring engineers (including providing feedback, investing in the career growth of your team members and growing teams).
  • A knack for creating readable, well-crafted, maintainable code.
  • An eye for design or an ear for the customer; engineering makes substantive contributions to product definition.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement (yourself, your teammates, our software).
  • Eagerness to share your own ideas, and openness to those of others.
  • Experience in managing product development involving React JS, Node, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, RxJava
  • Good understanding of the product and project management space with Agile methodologies.
  • Should have experience leading at least team of 10 members for minimum of 2 years.
  • Should have experience working with remote teams across time zones
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and grow a high performing engineering organization
  • Demonstrated ability of managing trade-offs and demands of multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as a coach and mentor to engineering leaders and individual engineers
  • A good understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms and Problem Solving
  • Currently hands on writing and reviewing code
  • Experience across the product development SDLC
