Job Description

We are seeking a candidate for our Network Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation of the Global Citrix network, both wired and wireless. You will serve as Lead Network Operations Engineer in a large global enterprise. You will be responsible for providing Tier 3 operations, including network configuration, implementation, and maintenance support. An experienced candidate will identify, resolve network issues, and proactively monitor the health of the global WAN / LAN infrastructure and services.Position OverviewCoordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots internal technology issues. Identifies, prioritizes, and confirms resolution of reported problems. Ensures that all phases of support are accurately coordinated, supervised, and tracked. Manages and architects overall standards. Ensures IT platforms are crafted, built, and operated with a focus on security, stability, future growth, capacity planning, configuration assistance, and needs assessments. Proposes, designs, and implements improvements to improve performance and reliability. Develops, refines, and documents administration policies, processes, and procedures and ensures SLA compliance. Provides training and support documentation. Ensures all systems meet detailed security requirements. Participates in project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.Role and ResponsibilitiesA core focus on supporting the network security objectives related to macro- and micro-segmentation using Cisco ISE and SDA technologies.Deployment, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Cloud, LAN and WAN networks.These responsibilities will require a solid understanding of the following technologies:

  • Network virtualization technologies like VRF, eVPN, VXLAN.
  • Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • IP Protocols (ICMP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, and DNS).
  • Cloud Networking in AWS/Azure/GCP environment.
  • VXLAN and Spine-Leaf architecture
  • Cisco ACI
  • Ethernet (STP, dot1x, VLANs)
Solving problems and identifying effective resolutions and workarounds.Supervise network performance, and connectivity using tools such as Cisco PRIME, WhatsUp Gold and similar.Respond to tier 3 support requests regarding network issues. Work as a team, resolve and advance issues, and return services to end users as quickly as possible. Provide appropriate updates during outages or periods of degraded performance.Perform routine maintenance and upgrades of network hardware components.Operate and support Citrix ADC and SD-WAN products.May require 24x7 on-call participation on a rotational basis.Develop and maintain accurate documentation.Responsible for making improvements of processes, systems, or products to improve the performance of the job area.Basic Qualifications Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience; or a master s degree with 3 years; or a PhD without experience.Prior experience in building and supporting network segmentation solutions.Automation and coding skills. Python / JAVA / REST knowledge is a plus.Prior experience and ability to work with Cisco ISE system.Requires advanced knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work and team optimally with clients, management, and staff members in a multi-tiered, fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently under limited supervision.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco switching and routing products (ISR, ASR, Nexus, and Catalyst product lines).
  • 1-3 years of hands on experience with cloud based deployments.
  • Knowledge of Citrix networking products, including NetScaler ADC and SD-WAN.
  • Awareness and understanding of:
    • AAA platforms such as Radius and/or TACACS
    • Basic Unix/Linux and/or Microsoft Windows sysadmin skills.
  • Prior experience working with Cisco DNAC is desirable.
  • CCNA and CCNP certification.
  • Cloud networking certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • SAFe Agile 5.0 certification.
