Job Description

    DescriptionThe Wireless Technologies and System Analysis team is looking for innovative ways to use wireless communication technologies and enable new services and products that surprise and delight our customers. We are seeking an experienced technologist and senior leader who can help us build the cellular system analysis team. Opportunity to play a major role in architecture, design and improvement of new cellular technologies and products. Ideal candidate will be enabled to drive new initiatives within the company and industry, focusing on end user experience. The candidate will engage with end to end product level analysis and broader population wide analytics, will interact with multiple engineering-groups, vendors, suppliers to understand wireless communication system/software/hardware/RF requirements and act as a liaison between baseband and iOS application engineering teams. Candidate would be looked upon as a gatekeeper of end user facing product quality. We expect the senior leader to bring in fresh ideas to promote the 4G/5G technology across Apple wide new product introductions, services and ecosystem initiatives and work towards design wins in a data driven way from prototyping to commercialization.,Key Qualifications
    • Overall 15+ years experience including at-least 5 Years of Management experience leading a team
    • 10+ years of wireless system analysis, performance, design or architecture experience
    • Deep understanding of wireless standards: (including but not limited to 3GPP 5G-NR/5GC, LTE, IEEE 802.11ax, 802.11ad, IP, TCP/UDP) and their application to end to end product performance.
    • Work experience with analyzing 4G, 5G cellular issues across different layers.
    • Experience with scripting and developing scripts for automation.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and lead a multi-functional and diverse Cellular System Analysis team.
    • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and out-of-the box thinking to propose technology and product improvements in a data driven way.
