Job Description

    senior power plant control engineer in bengaluru / bangaloreSenior Power Plant Control Engineer with experience in designing and developing control systems at the power plant level to meet the requirements of Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and Grid Codes around the world.
    • Masters or PhD Degree in electrical or controls engineering with emphasis on controller design for power systems and/or renewable energy systems
    • 5 - 10 years of work experience in designing, implementation and testing of fast closed loop control algorithms for power plant controllers, in applications like grid interties of Battery Energy storage systems
    • Experienced in designing and developing power plant controllers for BESS, Wind Farm and/or Solar Farm.
    • Experienced in simulating and evaluating power plant controllers with knowledge of power system issues (e.g. FRT behaviour) and interaction between power electronics and power system equipment
    • Experience with Model Based System Engineering is beneficial
    • Experienced in power system analysis and control simulation tools (e.g., PSCAD/EMTDC, MATLAB Simulink , PSS E, PowerFactory, PSLF)
    • Knowledge of utility grid interconnection standards, such as UL/IEEE standards, North American ISO/RTO requirements, European grid codes
    • Knowledge of grid-forming inverters is a plus
    • Knowledge on SCADA systems will be an added advantage
