Job Description

    A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love. They will have experience with consumer electronics, preferably working on hardware devices or their accessories including mobile phones, speakers, TVs, smart displays, laptop/desktop computers, tablets/e-readers, or on-the-go products such as earbuds, fitness devices, and e-scooters/bikes.Key job responsibilitiesThis role is inherently cross-functional -- you will work closely with engineering, design, business development and solution teams in Seattle, California and India. A successful candidate should love technology and products, be highly analytical, able to work effectively in matrix organizations, and adept at managing multiple simultaneous priorities.Does such an opportunity to have a direct and visible impact on the Amazon story appeal to you Define creative, high quality, Echo device concepts based on team strategy and vision Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, cost and schedule Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to deliver products and features to market Drive feature launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals,
    • Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
    • 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
    • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
    • 5+ years of technical program management experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
    • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
    • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
    • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one s sleeves to get the job done. Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Master s Degree MS / MTech / MBA with technical background
    • Creative leader with superior analytical abilities
    • Knowledge of hardware development process and life cycle
    • Experience with hardware product development process and SW experience development process
