As you work to make a real impact on the business and the world, we ll work to help you become a better you!We are looking to hire a Senior Research Executive, Product Engineering, Beauty and Personal Care based in BangaloreUnilever is the market leader in Skin Cleansing (SCL) area with Dove, Lifebuoy and Lux as the major brands of its Beauty & Personal Care divison. Product Engineering (PE) is one of the Science and Technology platforms within the Beauty & Personal Care (BPC) R&D organization. Its purpose is to translate relevant science generated both internally and externally into real skin cleansing and care product formats, based on expertise in material science, emulsion science, processing, surface science, and product interaction with biological surfaces. The PE platform is also responsible for driving programs to meet Unilever s ambition of sustainable products through sustainable sourcing and alternative & sustainable materials.This role will contribute to the development of novel and sustainable skin cleansing bars with cleansing, care and hygiene beneftis. COVID 19 and similar challenges: PE platform is playing (and continue to play) a key role in finding the right actives for anti-viral and anti-bacterial benefits, and incorporating them into various product formats and delivering them in the most effective/efficient ways.MAIN JOB PURPOSE:This is a Research Executive Position for the bars program reporting into a PE bars program lead, Science & Technolgy (S&T) team of BPC Division, Bangalore. The candidate will work in formulating new bars, incorporating new actives into the bars and understanding the microstructure, rheology and sensory properties of the soap bars. The responsibility of the position is to develop novel formulations and/or processes that deliver cleansing, care and hygiene benefits.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Candidate is expected to work in the laboratory and the pilot plant to carry experiments & demonstrate new technologies for the soap bars program
• The incumbent will work with the team to develop new products and also to enhance performance of the existing skin cleansing bar formats
• The incumbent will work with teams to imporove and build analytical, formulation, and processing capabilities.
• The incumbent is expected to carry out literature review of the existing scientific knowlege, that is realted to the projects
• Collaborate with Design and S&T teams (at various sites of Unilever) and with MIF (Material Innovation Factory) teams

KEY REQUIREMENTSWe are looking for a person with right attitude and competencies. Candidates with one or two years of experience in product/process development in S&T and/or Design are preferred.

• Education: Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry (Physical, Organic or Inorganic) with 3-6 years experience
• Background/Experience: Good fundamentals in chemical engineering or chemistry, proficient with various analytical techniques and also digital tools (for data recording, visualization, analysis and model building)
• Technical skills: Good understanding of surfactant science, formulation/process development
• Soft skills: Good communication and writing skills, creativity, critical thinking, and multi-tasking
• Leadeship skills: Team Player with a good Bias for Action and a Growth Mindset
