Job Description

Senior Site Reliability EngineerHewlett Packard Enterprise advances the way people live and work. We have the expertise to advise, integrate, and accelerate our customers outcomes from their digital transformation.Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and review scripts for automated build & deployment;
  • Setup and configure CI/CD pipelines for automated tests for functional regression, performance, security, etc.;
  • Manage release cycles of all IaaS, PaaS Services
  • Support for the IaaS, PaaS Services, Open Sources Stacks for development, UAT environments
  • Track release cycles of all products used, their end of life and plan for release cycles of all IaaS, PaaS services.
  • Manage release cycles and work with Test Automation engineers for automation of release pipelines;
  • Will ensure that the vulnerability assessment of all releases of applications or services prior to their deployment in production is carried out and provide sign-off for production deployment for the applications or services are to be deployed in production environment.
  • Using DevOps processes, creating and automating methods to scale OpenStack compute, control and storage within and across data centers
  • Automate the backup, failover and disaster recovery procedures of an enterprise OpenStack environment
  • Develop, automate and manage patching procedures for underlying OSes, tools and OpenStack components
Technical SkillsPrimary Skills
  • Good working experience with Kubernetes, Helm Charts. Experience with configuration management tools Chef, Ansible and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Strong background in managing and maintaining large scale Linux environments.
  • Good understanding of management protocols or standards like SNMP, CIM, IPMI, LDAP, ITSM.
  • Exposure to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting languages. Experience with CI/CD setup and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, TravisCI).
  • Experience with cloud concepts including IaaS, PaaS, VMs, VNF, VNFM, Heat Templates, Containers, CNE, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Experience with Travis, CloudFormation, Fargate or Codepipeline.
  • Experience with Nginx, Postgres, Mongodb, Redis.
Secondary Skills (Technical)
  • Infrastructure Knowledge (Server / Storage / Network)
  • ITIL knowledge
Education & Experience
  • BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MSc/ MCA or equivalent
  • Docker Certified Associate / CKA / CKAD / AWS DevOps / Puppet Professional
  • 15 years work experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar role
