For more than 350 years and across the world we have passionately pursued our curiosity to find novel and vibrant ways of enhancing the lives of others.Position Title - Senior Specialist- Drug SafetyJob Location - Elelctronic city Bangalore Your Role: The Safety Data Retrieval Team provides outputs of the safety database to various customers within Global Patient Safety. The team is based in Germany and India.This position is in Bangalore, India, where you will support the query operations by creating and quality checking database outputs. You will actively contribute on our journey from the current data retrieval environment which is based on custom tools and reports to a Cloud Environment.You understand the medical and scientific questions of our customers and you are able translate them into technical requirements. A good business knowledge in pharmacovigilance and understanding of periodic safety reports is an advantage.You understand and improve complex SQL statements and deliver measurable improvements for our safety database search strategies by automating and optimizing operations and tools. You will develop innovative methods to analyze, evaluate, and present pharmacovigilance data. If you are a curious mind with combined expertise in data science and biological sciences, you are a great candidate for us.Who you are:

  • Master s Degree in Pharmacy, Bioinformatics, Data Sciences or Computer Science
  • Minimum 4-5 years of overall experience
  • Good knowledge of Pharmacovigilance and reporting tools
  • Good knowledge of aggregated safety reports (PBRER, PSUR and DSUR)
  • Expert in programming languages (SQL/PLSQL, Visual Basic for Applications or similar)
  • Good hold of reporting and visualization software (IBM Cognos Analytics, Spotfire or similar)
  • Experience with safety data analytics is a plus
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good documentation skills and experience with GxP environments
  • Fluent spoken and written English
