Job Description

    Technical Skills:Extensive knowledge on Application Operation on Middleware product hosted in RHEL, CentOS,,Manages and maintains Oracle OVM, VMWare, and RHEL on x86 platforms.Should have hands-on experience with LVM,DNS configurationKnowledge on AIX, added an advantage.Able to resolve the system-related issues, able to provide RCA.Responsible for Linux patch management.Responsible for managing User / Group Administration, Sudo accessResponsible to create file systems, disk partitioning, and troubleshooting.Able to troubleshoot and resolve complex systems hardware and software problems.Need to communicate with vendors on any sort of unresolved issues such as hardware failures, related to newly released updatesResponsible to analyze and diagnose system failures recover and restore operating systems and file systemsResponsible to monitor system availability, load, and system capacityknowledge on Shell scripting added advantageKnowledge on Backup restoration.Strong verbal communication skillsJob Responsibilities:Be willing to work in night shifts on a rotational basisKnowledge on the ticketing tools and should be aware about the ITIL Process.Coordinate with Infrastructure Team, Applications Team, Provisioning Team and different stakeholdersSetup and maintain documentation and standards.Excellent Communication Skills and ability to set the right expectationsAble to manage/prioritize work, meet deadline with attentions to details & quality.Should be team player, mentor junior engineers to help the team learn and growResponsible for performing deep incident analysis, RCAs, post incident reports.Identify & recommend system improvements & apply industry best practices.,
