The Network and Services Management (NSM) Business Unit under Nokia s IP/Optical Networks (ION) group creates software which provides Best-in-Class management of IP and Optical networks for a world-wide customer base. Our flagship Network Services Platform (NSP) product is the industry leading product that provides state-of-the-art management for all of Nokia s IP and Optics switches portfolio as well as an evolving multi-vendor/multi-domain network.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Software Developer on our team, you will be challenged! The successful candidate s responsibilities will include:
• Participating in the development and standardization of next-generation networking management applications.
• Working in a team-based Agile Environment; collaborate with Developers, Testers, and Product Management to refine requirements, develop, and test our Carrier grade solutions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 8-10 years of work experience
• Hands on experience in Core Java, J2EE, XML, micro-service environment.
• Experience in developing highly distributed, highly scalable, carrier-grade products.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skill is required.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environment
• Passionate on software development, test automation and combining technology and user experience
• Knowledge on network management concepts, protocols and modelling (e.g. NetConf-Yang, gNMi, SNMP, RESTCONF)
Desirable Skills:
• Experience in developing EMS/NMS products which manage telecommunication and IP networks.
• Knowledge on Microservices, OSGi, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, Zookeeper.
• NRS-2 or equivalent certification

They interact with Product Line Management (PLM) member to get the high level specifications/requirements. They work closely with the QA team members following agile methodology to deliver high quality software. They also interact with the support teams and the network element team members as needed. Required Skills and Interests: These positions require highly motivated and creative individuals. Working in IP Network Management as a member of the NFM-P Development team involves the following skills :-
• Bachelor/Masters degree in computer science/engineering.
• 5 -12 years experience in software development and design
• Excellent Communication skills
• Understanding of network management concepts and basic protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, CLI, Netconf)
• Object Oriented Design and Analysis
• Excellent Programming Skills with Java
• Platforms (Linux, Windows)
• JDBC
• Understanding of IP Networking Fundamentals
Desirable Skills:
• JBoss Application Server Environment
• JMS
• XML OSS development
• JavaScript, React, REST
• NMS/EMS
• IP Networking Internals (OSPF,BGP,IS-IS, L2/L3 VPNSs, Segment Routing, EVPN etc.)
