Has the ability to understand data and how to effectively manage testing of high volume data intensive systems. Should have managed testing of high volume BI/ DW/ Data intensive systems in the pastDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Solid understanding of testing of high volume data warehousing systemsKey responsibilities include source system data analysis, business & privacy data requirements definition, data discovery, profiling, masking & monitoring rules definition and overall data provisioning for setting up a test environmentDevelop, implement physical and virtual test data management and test environment solutions across the organization, to contribute towards the success of data technology initiativesLearn and contribute to the design, implementation & maintenance of the data testing frameworkParticipates in all phases of a solution delivery including test data and env requirements gathering and provisioning the required test data in the appropriate test environmentsConducts full lifecycle activities including requirements analysis and design, develop and deliver capabilities, and continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements around Data processesLead set up of test data and virtual environment based on functional test requirements utilizing Enterprise standard tool setsShould have managed high volume ETL/ Big Data testing (Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Kafka) in the pastExcellent hands-on experience with Database testingSolid experience in writing SQL queriesGood knowledge in generating process documentationGood understanding in BI/ DW ConceptsStrong knowledge in Data/ ETL testingSKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:Should be a science graduate with 3 or 4 year degree (BE/B.Tech/BCA) or related field. 5+ years of data testing/ DW testing & management experienceGood experience in automation testing using Java, Selenium, Cucumber etc.Good hands-on knowledge of Clickhouse/ SQL/ NoSQL databases.Must have knowledge of DW/ ETL toolsAbility to understand functional specifications/technical specifications/ Business rules/ Data rules.Responsible for turning gathered requirements into test cases and scripts in both ETL & Reporting areas.Author test strategy, test plans, test cases, and/or test scripts required to validate requirements.Understand the existing report design, build test scripts and write SQL statements to validate reportsUnderstanding and Analyzing Test Requirements, Tracking changes and maintenance of test RequirementsMust have test management tools knowledge. HP ALM/ Qtest, Jira, etc.Selenium or any data test automation experience would be plus.Good to have any of the scripting language knowledge.
