Job Description

    IT Enterprise Platform SRE:The Enterprise Platform Services team in Cisco s IT Infrastructure group has an opportunity for an Engineer with expertise in Service Reliability Engineering and DevOps.In your role as an SRE Engineer, you will be able to see the big picture of how the Integration using API Management and Identity access management systems work together seamlessly.Developer expertise in API development using REST and SOAP. Experience with API Management platforms. familiarity with Open API specification and Oauth specification. Familiarity with Cisco tools would be useful but is not required. We are a global DevOps team with staff in multiple time zones. We follow Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies. We use the latest collaboration tools for communication.As the ideal candidate, you will be able to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, develop tools, process, write documentation to help other developers, enjoy a fast-paced and friendly workplace. We look forward to welcoming you to the team!What you ll do:Responsible for helping API developers migrate IdP and Oauth provider for their API s i.e. Ping Federate to Okta/Duo for API / Integration platforms like (MuleSoft, Tibco Mashery)Understand existing APIs on these platforms and understand differences with the new IdP and help migrate to new IdP.Build metrics from these API Management platforms to track migration status on weekly basis.Build SharePoint documentation, posts, knowledgebase articles for the API developers.Required skills:
    • Minimum 5 years of IT engineering work experience.
    • Must have 3 years of experience with API development using REST and SOAP. Familiarity with Authentication and Authorization in relation to API and different Identity and access management systems like Ping, Okta, Duo.
    • Experience using API Management and integration platforms like Tibco Mashery, MuleSoft and Layer 7. Familiarity with API Administration and configuration on API Management platforms.
    • Familiarity with Linux, MuleSoft Anypoint Studio and RAML
    • Familiarity with key concepts in security IdP, OAuth, SAML etc. and Open API specification.
    • Excellent trouble-shooting skills using Splunk, AppDynamics etc.
    • API development experience using any programming language preferably java, Golang, python.
    • Continuous Integration experience (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Udeploy).
    Useful skills:
    • Experience working with Agile Scrum and Kanban teams.
