If you have this type of passion, we invite you to take a look at the opportunities available to come join our team.THE ROLE:AMD is looking for a Sr. ASIC Implementation Engineer. As a member of our IP development team, you will work closely with our design team members to deliver synthesis recipes and timing constraints to SOC teams, as part of an RTL subsystem delivery. Youll join a tight-knit group that uses top notch tools in leading edge process technologies.THE PERSON:

  • Strong organization and multitasking, as well as problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to independently drive tasks to completion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with team members across multiple sites
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Power-aware synthesis using Synopsys Fusion Compiler
  • Critical analysis of synthesis and timing results
  • adjust synthesis parameters or recommend design changes to achieve PPA (power, timing, and area) goals
  • PrimeTime constraint creation, including TCL development and SDC generation
  • Static timing analysis
  • Galaxy Constraint Analyzer for constraint checking
  • Formal verification of synthesized netlists using Formality
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • ASIC or IP design synthesis experience
  • Significant experience with standard ASIC design tools (synthesis, equivalence checking, multi-clock domain static timing analysis)
  • Thorough understanding of ASIC design flow for high performance, low power designs
  • Strong Unix shell scripting and utilities (Perl, TCL, Ruby, makefiles) for analysis and automation
  • Verilog RTL design experience a plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • BE/B.Tech/ME/M.TECH or equivalent ECE/EEE
