In this role, you will be working as part of the Power and Performance Architecture group as a SoC Performance Architect. The team is responsible for architectural exploration, evaluation of design alternatives and power/performance trade-offs for mobile and desktop SoC products. It involves using state of the art simulation technology to ensure future mobile SoCs deliver industry leading performance/power. You will be working on architecture definition and performance analysis of current and future SoCs. This role will require close cooperation with the architecture, validation, software, emulation, design, post-silicon and power teams. We are looking for a teammate who wants to directly contribute to Intels next generation client SoCs through architectural definition, modelling, and analysis and meet the challenge of delivering the best products to our customers. Architecturally defines, models and evaluates the viability of complex hardware features and ensures that software and hardware designs interface correctly Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC architectural bottlenecks for complex multi-IP applications Influences future product definition by significantly contributing to the architecture used across families and generations Ability to be effective working in a team, strong initiative to deliver high quality results, enjoys exploring breadth of technical options and take informed risks to advance the state of the artQualificationsQualifications: Ph.D. or Masters with minimum 3 years industry experience in Computer Architecture Minimum 1 year experience with simulation-based performance modeling, and performance analysis above and beyond standard academic computer architecture coursework Software development skills include C/C++, python, gitPreferred: Dissertation work in computer architecture and performance/power analysis Experience with cache hierarchy, memory, and/or interconnection network architectures Familiarity with SOLID coding principles, Agile product development Experience using machine learning and data science for analysisInside this Business GroupThe Devices Development Group (DDG) is a global organization focused on the development and integration of SOCs, critical IPs including Atom and chipsets that power Intels leadership products.
